I'm walking on sunshine.

I can't tell you how wonderful it has been to have had some warm and sunny days! I am so amazed at how much the weather conditions have an influence on my outlook on life. I don't recall it having such an impact when I was younger. Perhaps that's because I didn't have children at the time, and I could go out and play in the rain/snow with out too much prep work. For now we'll just enjoy the fresh air and look forward to a summer of being outdoors. But perhaps in the long run we'll have to move to someplace that is warm and sunny all year long. However, give me a few months, and maybe I'll be ready to enjoy winter for a while again.;)

Josh's new job is going well. We are enjoying seeing each other on a daily basis. And even he got to go on a walk with us yesterday! The kids are a bit confused why he isn't home each morning, or at least in bed sleeping when they wake up, but I'm sure they're going to enjoy having Daddy home each night to spend some time with them.

Yesterday I interviewed for a crossing guard position with the City of West Jordan. I half expected a fairly informal interview, but that was not the case. It was very random that I got a phone call from them because I applied for the position last September! Anyway, as I entered the room I was greeted by the Manager, two other crossing guards, and a Police officer. Hello! And then they got to take turns asking me situational questions. I was nervous, but I'm glad they take positions even as small as crossing guards so seriously. I'd only want the best watching out for my children! They were supposed to be making decisions yesterday, and HR would let me know. Wish me luck. I think it could be really fun!

(*Pictures curtousy of Uncle Justin's friend Marli- They had fun down Vegas this past weekend, and I've never seen cool pics in the sky like this!)

I heart you.

I know that my most normal visitor to this blog is my sweet husband. So since this is his last night working all night for a very long time (hopefully), I thought I'd write him a quick hello. It's funny he usually is able to get on around 2 am. And as much as I'd love to talk to him, I'm greatful he lets me sleep instead.

It has been a very hard few months for us! I am greatful for all of your hard work, to provide for our family. I love you, and am glad to know that together we can accomplish anything we want to... (with a little help from up above. ;)) Hope your night is going smoothly.

Oh, and here are the eggs we did tonight, and pics from the cute egg hunt this-morning.

Some beach.... somewhere...

My Sister Becca and I are going on a day trip to Santa Ana, CA next weekend and I'm so excited! We are both big fans of the beach, and traveling, so it should be a fun day. She was willing to part with her sweet new hubby for a day and I'm greatful to have a Sister who wants to take an adventure with me! Our men will probably get together and go shooting in the desert or something 'guy' like. So I'm sure they are secretly excited for us to go too. ;)

We are all trying to get over being sick. I *think* we are on our way, but don't want to excited yet. Josh picked up and extra shift at work last night, but this will be his last week working nights for a LONG time! I can't tell you how anxious I am to not have to sleep alone in bed several nights a week. It will be an adjustment to actually having him working the same hours every day, but I think it will provide a great base structure to build a real routine for our family.

Because of this long week with kids my sickly children, my Parents gave me a sanity break tonight and I went to Target all by myself. It was so nice to hear lots of children behaving exactly as my children would be, but to know I don't have to do a thing about it! Horrible isn't it?

Burn baby burn...

As I type, I've got my baby cuddled up to my chest burning up with a fever! We've been up since 4. Poor kid, I hope this passes soon. This is day 3 and we're not on the downhill stretch yet. It's times like this that our blog title becomes comical- and all too real.

Although I am feeling very sleepy, cuddling my baby so much the past few days has helped me remember how blessed I feel to have the opportunity to be a Mother. Motherhood has been probably the biggest challenge I have ever faced! I have learned that I am not as patient as I thought I was, that I have a temper, and that my children know how to push every button I have! I have also come to understand unconditional love, and how to comfort a sick child, how to be spontanious and enjoy the simple things in life.(blowing bubbles, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, a walk around the block, storytime, the sunshine, the smell of rain, the hope that spring snow storms will bring enough snow to make another snowman.... the list could go on and on.) So I guess that Motherhood has brought out the best, and the worst in me. But I'm greatful to know that through the refiners fire, I am hopefully becoming the person Heavenly Father wants me to be.

Life's Images

We are a family a few words lately. Sorry! I've been a bit stressed and don't want to express that on here.... so :) My cousin did this a while back and I thought it would be fun. I'll tag anyone who actually reads this. Do a google image search, and pick a picture from the 1st page of results. Have fun!

I'm leaving on a Jet Plane...

If I had anywhere to go!! I have a $300.00 plane ticket that has to be used by the end of the month, and no where to go. Any ideas? It's only able to be used by me, so it would have to be just me and my baby.

I just hate to know that all that money would be going to waste. :)

1st trip to the park this year!

It reached 40 degree's today, and a new friend from our neighborhood called to see if we wanted to go on a walk on this beautifully sunny day. How could I resist? So we packed up all 4 kids and headed to the park. We had so much fun!

These two played pretty well together and really seemed to enjoy making a couple new friends. I reassured them there would be many more visits to the park this summer.

The babies got chilled, and were very ready to go home.

I've been trying to get more involved in our ward and neighborhood. I was so very greatful to have someone call to see if we could play. I've felt a little lonely since we have moved here and not knowing any of my neighbors. Hopefully with the warm weather everyone will come out of hibernation (including us)and we'll get to know lots of people that live close to us.

Family fun.

I tell ya what, trying to get a picture of 11 rambunctious kids is a challenge! It's not very often that we get together with all of my siblings and thier kids. My uncle was in town visiting from California and somehow we all managed to get together. The next biggest accomplishment for our little family was that we survived it! It is quite the noisey crowd when we're all together. The last grandchildren picture my parents had was before I even had any babies, so this was a quick fix to at least have a pic of all of them together.

This is my beautiful niece! I am amazed that she will be a senior next year and is figuring out what college she's going to go to and stuff. It makes me feel very old. She brought her violin over last night and played a song for us. She is really good! I'm very proud of her.

This was what our van looked like when we arrived home after playing. Mind you we only live maybe 5 minutes from my Mom's house. It was really nice to have a short and sweet time getting them to bed. :) And fun that they had so much fun using all thier energy up!
