The Winter blues

So we got our gas bill the other day. $175.00 later!! ouch! We called the builder of our townhomes- they had a few suggestions. And boy do we feel silly for not knowing these easy tricks. We had tried to figure out the thresholds on the door to the garage because it had a half inch gap that had been sucking the cold air in. We had been putting a towel in front of it, but that wasn't working very well apparently. Well, with a simple twist of a few screws that problem is fixed. Now if we can figure out how to make the door shut a little tighter that should fill all the gaps that we are *aware* of. The warranty guy also said that keeping our ceiling fans going to get better air movement will help. I'm hoping that it won't be as tricky keeping our home cool in the summer!
