"Let us all try to stand a little taller, rise a little higher, be a little better. Make the extra effort. You will be happier. You will know new satisfactions. A new gladness in your heart."

Our free Lagoon Day! (Thanks Sarah!!)

My cousin went to Lagoon a few weeks ago when the power went out for a couple hours! They were kind enough to give us thier tickets because they were valid for another day pass due to the power outage. (They live in ID, and weren't going to be able to make another trip down to use them.)We even got to use thier parking pass and got free parking. We are thankful that we got these tickets because this trip will be the highlight of our summer.

I went on these swings with the kids, and wow, I think I don't handle spinning in circles as well as I used to. :) But the kids loved it!
This is just a pretty picture Josh took while we were at the top of the ferris wheel.
Sibling love. :) We left baby home with Grandma and Grandpa, so we could get some big kid play time in. It was a good decision, and we're greatful Grandma and Grandpa watched and enjoyed baby for the evening.

Tender-heart loved this ride, it's pretty fast, and I wasn't suprised our little girl didn't like it at first.

Our daughter took this picture, not too bad eh?

Us almost at the top of the ferris wheel.

The boys, almost at the top of the ferris wheel.

The ol' laptop...

Apparently my allergies or a cold decided to pull a prank on me since my babies are all actually sleeping tonight. Here I am awake with a very runny nose and lots and lots of sneezes. Figures... doesn't it? Anyway, so I decided to pull out the ol' laptop so I can at least lay in bed while playing on the Internet. We are not the best about storing our images in a central place, and I came across the pictures from when my older two were babies. Aren't they sweet?

This first one is of my Tender Heart, he was very sick right after birth, and his cute little hat is hiding the IV that they had to place on top of his head. He miraculously healed quickly and we were able to take him home from the hospital only a day longer than usual.

This one is my Big girl a few days after her birth. All of my kids have had a bit of jaundice, and this was some of her sunny time! We did something right, because she didn't ever have to get the biliruben lights that so many babies get to come home with.
Yay for old pictures, and many good memories. I do believe this is the longest I've gone without being pregnant since we have been married, and while I adore tiny babies- it's been nice to be able to concentrate my energy on my children rather than my sickness(while pregnant)! My children are so special to me, and I have so much to learn from each of them. I love how different their personalities are, and grateful for each of their strengths and weaknesses. I know they were sent to me for a reason, and I'm loving to get to know them.
I'm not meaning to leave out my baby in these pictures, unfortunately all of his pictures are on our desktop. I really should do something about getting them all in one place! Woohoo, I think my benadryl is finally kicking in and hopefully I'll be in dreamy land soon. G'night.

Bad boys, Bad boys... whatch'a gonna do?

I had the opportunity to go on a ride-along with our local city police department last night. I was pretty nervous for some strange reason, but I LOVED it. It was a lot more like TV than I thought it would be, and the adrenaline that accompanied the evening was really quite refreshing and a change from my tedious lifestyle.

We were hoping for a good evening (good meaning exciting.. ) because 1.) It was friday evening, and 2.) Friday the 13th(ha ha). He said they often get ride alongs, and then have nothing happen all evening. Which is no fun for the police officer or the rider. So we started our evening with taking down a guy who had 3 warrants for his arrest out! Woohoo! It was a really neat experience, and I suddenly knew exactly what makes thier jobs worth it. Then we did a few traffic violation stops, and continued on to a drug overdose, which actually was pretty sad. Then stopped some kids who come to find out didn't have any weed. (those were the Sgt. words- ha, he was a pretty funny guy). It was a learning experience for me, and I'm greatful I decided to sign up for the ride along. I may just do it for fun again in 6 months.

The night before we got to go learn about our local SWAT team, and got to shoot thier .40 Glocks, and thier M4 (fully automatic rifle pictured below.)

Can you see me even touching one of those? Let alone shooting one of those? I sure can't, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. It was fun, and I came away with a big grin on my face, however I can't imagine getting training with one for any other purpose than to shoot at card board targets in the desert. I'm greatful that there are people trained to used them in dangerous situations, just glad I'm not one of them!!
