Jack Johnson Concert. :)

The show was REALLY good. There are so many really talented musicians out there, and it was fun to be able to see one of our very favorites LIVE.
This was a cool opening band, I really like thier sound too, so I'm sure I'll be checking into an album or two of thiers one day.
I need to tweak these pictures a bit, and crop out heads. :) But we had fun being so close to the front, even if we did have to stand up the whole time.
The only bad part of the concert was all the obnoxious people around us. :) My eyes still sting today because of all of the 'smoking'(there was a lot more than just cigarettes there). What's the point of posting no smoking signs but not enforcing it? I think it's sad that people can't just come and enjoy listening to really talented people-while being respectful at the same time. Ha, can you tell I haven't been to a concert in ages!! There were some nice people around us, and I was glad someone told the people right next to us to put thier marijuana away. There were several kids around and Jack's music is very family friendly, no reason why the crowd has to ruin that atmosphere. :)

When you least expect it...

We have had a lot on our plates lately, and have spent a considerable amount of time on our knees in prayer-trying to figure out the best way to get through our rough time. (aka living in parents basement, desire to get out on our own again.. ) I honestly haven't felt a whole lot of direction, but have been plowing ahead none the less. I have been feeling an overwhelming amount of gratitude for the organization of the church, and the countless prayers that have been indirectly been said in our behalf. We met with our Bishop a few weeks ago, and had a really good visit!

Our situation is stinky. But if we are doing our VERY best to follow the counsel we've been given in the scriptures we will recieve blessings. I've had a really hard time balancing my role as a Mother, and Wife with the demands of making money to help out. In fact my poor kids have been angels through this, and I'm constantly striving to be everything they need(while working 3 other jobs). We had considered several times me quitting at least one of my jobs, possibly two so that I can concentrate more on our family. I had been torn in several directions as to which one to quit... anyway, long story short. They took care of themselves... and I'm feeling like Heavenly Father is watching out for me and guiding me. I'm still not sure what direction this whole experience is taking us, but I'm glad to know it's all part of a bigger plan, and that we will be guided if we ask and have faith.

Note:To Self.

1.) Next time you decide to check on roudy kids behind a closed bedroom door, asking them to calm down. When opening the door put your foot in front of the door blocking a possible repeat of yesterdays door slamming head experience. (I've still got a headache)

2.)Teach your kids not to slam doors, especially when someone is trying to come in. Unless of course it's the front door and a stranger.

3.) Remember to be greatful your kids were worried, and were making sure you were okay when it happend, and that they weren't the ones slamming the door. :)

Back to school... thank goodness it's only Preschool.

I can't believe how excited my pretty princess was for her first day back to preschool. She came running into my room at 7 making sure that we weren't late for school! She then proceeded to choose her outfit, and outfits for each of us for the day. She even got a onsie on our youngest. Way to go sweetie! I'm very proud of her, and hope this year will be a good one for her. (even though I really missed her her first day there... who'd think 2 hrs and 15 min could be so long!)

Date night x 2....

My cousins came to town from Idaho, and they were a great example to us! We finally made it to a session at the Salt Lake Temple. It was a really neat experience, and we're so glad that we were able to go. That was date night#1- then the next night, Josh called about 10 min before he was supposed to get off of working asking if we'd use tickets to go to "BIG" the musical at Hale Center Theatre. We were lucky enough that Josh's parent's watched the kids, and we went to the show with my parents. Hurray for 2 dates in 2 nights! It helped me realize how much I enjoy the evenings just being at home with our little family... and how much I love my kids. :)
