"Let us all try to stand a little taller, rise a little higher, be a little better. Make the extra effort. You will be happier. You will know new satisfactions. A new gladness in your heart."

New Years resolutions...

Yep, I'm a little late posting about this, but they are on my mind constantly! We had a busy start to this year with my Sister Becca's wedding. It was beautiful, and I couldn't be happier for her and John. Lucky couple has been on a cruise all week! I hope they have enjoyed some warm weather, I think I have forgotten what warm feels like. I've just got spring fever and am ready for our daily walks, and freedom to be outside as much as we want!

Anyway, on to some goals that I'd really like to achieve this year. My busy life has lead me to drinking a blissful drink called Dr. Pepper. I know this is not a healthy beverage, and Josh has challenged me to drink no soda until my birthday. Then I can decide if I really want to drink it so much.... his bet is that I'll be disgusted with how much I used to drink. ;) Am I up to the challenge? Yes.

After being asked by a couple people if I was pregnant again, leads me to my next goal. Excercise: I now have a treadmill and no good excuse to not be doing at LEAST 3- 30 minute work outs a week. Ideally I'd like to lose 15 lbs. I've never had weight issues until after this baby, so I'm really not quite sure how to handle it.

I'll leave it at that for now... my sweet hubby and I are going to dinner and a movie. I honestly don't remember the last date we went on. And lucky for us it's all on gift certificates!

Sledding!

We finally got some snow, and had Daddy home for the perfect sledding day! Everyone had a lot of fun, however our baby wasn't so sure about going down the hill on the sled with us. C and A had SO much fun, however A has reminded us that we need to find her some snow-pants so her little legs don't freeze off next time.

D almost fell asleep on my shoulder, poor kid must have wondered what was going on!

C had a hard time walking in the snow, it was about a foot deep, and it was a lot of work for a little guy!

A was very fearless, and couldn't get enough of running up the hill, just to sled down again.

We all had a really fun day, and really had fun spending time with Josh. He is working a lot of hours lately, so play time doesn't come often. We are very lucky to have such a hard working Daddy- even if we do miss him!

Sad Christmas realities..

Believe it or not, we are still alive. :) During breakfast this morning, we were discussing Santa Clause and the North Pole. We continued on to talk about the elves that make toys. Josh asked our 4 year old daughter what toys she thought the elves were making- And she said "I ordered Polly Pockets!!"
