"Let us all try to stand a little taller, rise a little higher, be a little better. Make the extra effort. You will be happier. You will know new satisfactions. A new gladness in your heart."

Sledding!

We finally got some snow, and had Daddy home for the perfect sledding day! Everyone had a lot of fun, however our baby wasn't so sure about going down the hill on the sled with us. C and A had SO much fun, however A has reminded us that we need to find her some snow-pants so her little legs don't freeze off next time.

D almost fell asleep on my shoulder, poor kid must have wondered what was going on!

C had a hard time walking in the snow, it was about a foot deep, and it was a lot of work for a little guy!

A was very fearless, and couldn't get enough of running up the hill, just to sled down again.

We all had a really fun day, and really had fun spending time with Josh. He is working a lot of hours lately, so play time doesn't come often. We are very lucky to have such a hard working Daddy- even if we do miss him!

A tip for snow pants. Go to DI, they are only $4-$8 and they often look brand new. Its not worth buying snow pants for $45 that you will only use once or twice. We do it every year for our girls and we have never seen raggedy old snow pants at DI. And now is a great time because everyone is pulling them out and realizing they need to buy bigger ones. (We also buy our snow boots for the kids there.)

Sounds like so much fun! We haven't had a chance to all go sledding together, although I took the boys twice by myself (that was an adventure!) and Dave took Jacob once.
